welcome and greetings! It's nice to meet you! I hope this won't be the last time. Thank you for recording for me, I can't wait until I get to hear the finished product. But for now, ITPE! In general, hopefully this letter provides you with as much information you need to chose a fic to record. But if you are trying to make yourself fit to my tastes and going against your own, let me say I would much prefer that you chose a fic you enjoy! In short: Having fun yourself is the most important thing.Come on in!
Regarding format, if you want to do something experimental, a chat fic, drunk podficcing or whatever: go for it! I enjoy these just as much as a straight reading. So, I'm not saying if you procrastinated you should get a wine bottle and start recording, but if that were to happen I would def enjoy the outtakes. Anyway, no pressure.
Loves: teratophilia aka monsterfucking, body horror, non-human intercourse in general, world building, long plotty stuff, power exchange, pining (exception: I am in love but X would never want me bc I'm ugly etc. Nope. Example of good pining: there's something here but right now we gotta focus on other stuff so this has to wait), identity porn, fake relationship, tentacles, oviposition, gen, overstimulation, tropes that are questioned or subverted (it's fine if it gets build up again tho!), fun realistic sex (e.g. stuff goes wrong, giggling, cheesy lines, being competive to an absurd degree), crack fic, fucked up shit that is acknowledged as fucked up and adds taste to the fic because it is so twisted, hate fucking, rivals, mythology, meta fics where fanfic is written in universe, fandom aus, queer stuff, body switching, most magical trope fics
Likes: Sci-fi and fantasy aus, space, "issue" fic (e.g. x char as trans, radical leftist politics, these fantasy creatures kill fascists etc), fluff, humour, kink negotiation, I know everyone in fandom is trying to write minimalistic like Hemingway and I'm not saying purple prose but if you find a fic that takes risks with language and it pays off I'm in! An evocative, elaborate phrase that is just so is wonderful.
Mehs: mundane au for sake of au (e.g. coffeeshop au and the only plot is getting together), marriage (especially when glorified as the end all be all of relationships I will quietly roll my eyes), A/B/O played completely straight, breeding kink if someone can actually get pregnart, kidfic that's only about kid raising and domestic bliss, choking, straight up PWP that doesn't stand out in any way (either emotionally, plotty or kinkily), bad ends for the sake of bad ends (you gotta put the emotion into it!), turned into a baby and love interest takes care of character
Squicks: undernegotiated or not negotiated BDSM - if the discussion is implied that's fine!, non-con that is either not acknowledged as non-con (e.g. oh, you raped me but then I liked it) or as an excuse for hurt comfort (e.g. if the fic is non-con scene then just rescue of the victim and comfort, skip it.) or glorified in narrative, miscommunication without reason (e.g. I cannot talk about my feelings. That's what's stopping me.), character death without reason/just to get some tears, too much fluffy ooc fic (this is hard bc the line is wavery. Use carefully), scat, character bashing, female/BIPOC characters as yentas or wise therapists only

Overwatch: my main fandom right now, so buckle in! M/M first
Genji/Zenyatta: The one I love the most! I really take it in any form. Sadly, a rare pair.
Reaper76: Monster Gabe is a gift. Monster Jack is even better bc I am contrary to fandom norms. Same goes for Gabe bottoming! I already listed monster fucking as a wonderful thing. I love them both fighting or making up as olds. <3 Young is good as well. One caution: Gabe can be angry about the promotion, but it cannot be the only reason. I am a Gabe stan through and through, so anything with him being awesome. If the fic is all about sucking Jack's dick I'm kinda bored. Also please avoid racist characterisation (Gabe is "spicy" etc). Reaperbeans are fine, but mind that the fic also has an arc, whether plot or emotional.
Luciper: My second Gabe ship and rarepair. No Lucio being overly passive though!
Akandriel: Still here for this. While I don't stan Jack, avoid character bashing him please.

Prime: MegOP as the big one here. Also Soundwave in there or with Megs alone. Knock Out/Breakdown is delightful as well. Naturally also world building and Gen, especially if you have something where the kids/humans interact non-violently with the Cons.

Cygate(/Whirl): The goth and the marshmallow!!!! They are SO CUTE. I kinda like Whirl as a queerplatonic partner to Cyclonus or something other than a triangle only. If it explores the differences, I am down.
Dratchet: *howling at the moon* Especially wonderful when they are sarcastic at each other! Or.... something that has Ratchet interact/face Deadlock. I am so weak for this.
MiniMegs: any combo of the (co-)Captains are fine, but this is THE best one. Minimus being all proper!!! Megs being also into regulation!!! My HEART!!! Bonus if you can swing one of the two fics with Verity in it.

Of course, ANY and I mean ANY Lost Light episode fic, anything with character focus, anything. Yes fixit fic, yes aus, bring it on whenever. Scavengers fic is Highly encouraged. I am also down for all the twisted, heinous DJD fic and/or fic making fun of them. Kaon is cute <3. Tarn/Pharma and Tarn/Deathsaurus, the later only if Tarn buys a clue and becomes a better person (and maybe leaves the Lost Light alone. ;____;) Anyone in the comic is cool as a subject I am saying.
Prowl/Tarantulas: Why is this ship so good??? It just is and prowl should be the worse person in it.
Constructicons/Prowl: Prowl should be annoyed that someone cares for him and is taking care of him now.

Pairings that really depend on what fic I am reading them in:
Jazz/Prowl: Most I find okay, I do love Jazz being scary Spec Ops, Prowl not being a prick and Decepticon!Jazz getting turned. Unf.
MegaStar: Clearly a good pairing, I do love it most when Megatron isn't the one with all the power and Starscream can give back some shit. Ideally when they are both really set in their own ways and Soundwave/Optimus/anyone else is facepalming in their own corner.
Characters in general outside the Lost Light Crew:
Jazz!!! And Soundwave! Really any niche person getting a background is awesome and there is a lot of Gen and worldbuilding out there, with or without pairings. There are probably rec lists. And again, if you can get something that emphasizes how inhuman the mechs are, it's double good.
Do not Want: No Bayverse unless the fic really gets into good worldbuilding and transplants personalities from other canons and/or is some sweet MegOP.
Witcher (game verse):
Regis/Geralt: No shade on Jaskier, but this is the ship of my heart. <3 Regis is just the best, really. Dettlaff and others can come, too, but focus on them.

Dishonored: I just want everyone to be happy, ok? Post-low chaos prefered bc Idk if I can handle the hurt.
Corvo/The Outsider: The Dreaaaam! I like them both as monster fucking and as post-DotO.
Corvo/Daud: ok, so Daud is def a little black dress. You can combine with above, but I am meh about Daud/Outsider. Dad!Daud in moderation.
Corvid/The Stranger: LOOK I'M EASILY AMUSED AND I AM CACKLING.
Billie Lurk/Emily: I'm sorry Wyman, but Billie and Emily have great chemistry!
Gen: Focus on Corvo or The Outsider is awesome. On the setting as well. Other characters of interest: Aramis Stilton, Yul Khulan (An ok overseer?? How does this friendship go), Delilah being awesome by herself and not mean to our cast. Whale!Outsider
Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell: I prefer book setting over the TV setting.
Strange/Norrell: hate relationship
Vinculus/Childermass: Roadtrip and rom com ending, I mean!

Birds of Prey (the Harley movie!): Anything with any of the ladies. Femslash, gen or worldbuilding, any found family, if there is crossovers where the kick ass, bring it on! I would prefer not to have too much focus on Zsasz or Black Mask - fine as antagonists, but the focus should be on any of the girls. Love Renee Montoya especially, but really it's like picking my favourite child from all of them.
Into the Spiderverse: I loooove Miles. And Aaron and Jeff. Gen focused on them please. Miles can be in ships. I do like Aunt May/Dr. Octavius in this verse, but I would prefer to have the characters of colour in the center. It could be a treat though. Gwen is lovely, Peter B. Parker is nice but I don't really care about him. Miles and family should be the focus.
Devil May Cry: Hello, incest central! Dante/Vergil fic please. Getting (back?) together and after hell fics or just aus of DMC5 would make me so happy. Dante/V is also a good trope. Nero can come with them in any combo. Trish/Lady fic if you find a good one would be awesome too. Any Gen about demons having to do normal human chores
The Magnus Archives: John/Martin, but I am down for most fucked up pairings here as well. Basira/Daisy fic. On the gen side, I would love creepy lore or just a full case. Someone getting taken over is amazing too. Basically any good plotty fic you can find, please.
Godzilla: I watched King of Monsters and fell in love with the Ghidorah there. Just anything about the three heads, preferably with no humans hurt and/or pets for san-chan. Monster ships are lovely, though idk if I want full on sex here. I guess if there are no human gijinkas? I like Ghidorah(San/Kevin specifically)/Rodan, Ghidorah(any or all heads)/Godzilla and Godzilla/Mothra.

Hugo Vega/Damien Bloodmarch: They are the best, end of discussion.
Gen:
Anything relating to Hugo, Damien or Robert! Damien is my favourite of them all. Any Dad + Children stuff. Robert spinning tall tales while also angsting is great. Also: MARY the MVP. Anything for Mary being happy.
Meh:
Roseph: When in character it doesn't really get me. If there's demon fucking, I might be slightly interested though.
Dadsona/Anyone: Not really for me.
Monster Prom: This game was wildly underrated tbh. Gen pieces or character focus would be great, but also ship stuff. Some pairs I would love especially:
Vera/Amira: Vera is my fav of the main six and I love Amira too. Her design is hot as hell, hehe.
Liam/Damien: I love the dynamic! Damien is so fun and Liam aims to have zero fun. It's wonderful.
For the secret romance options, I love the Coven, Z'Gord and Aaravi, so having them with anyone sounds awesome.
Mob Psycho 100: I have only seen the first season. Anyway Gen stuff with Reigen & Mob as family. Reigen as a responsible adult in general.
Fairy Tales and Legends: Bonus if not from Europe, subverting "traditional" gender roles or both. Love Baba Jaga stuff. If you do anything Japanese, please check for orientalism? If Japan is described as this magical land of everything and oh so special and exotic, skip it.
Elric of Melnibone: Elric/Arioch. Elric/Moonglum. Elric angsting around.
Otherland: I mean, anything about the setting, but also Renie Sulaweyo is the BEST. Sam/Orlando with trans Sam. Renie/Christine.
Alien: Ellen Ripley kicking ass. I also love anything Alien: Isolation with Amanda kicking ass! Xenomorph cuddling or fucking someone nicely, idc how ooc. Ok, I care, but am willing to suspend a lot. No Prometheus/Alien Convenant content. Yautja are fine!

I do like Aunt May/Dr. Octavius in this verse, but I would prefer to have the characters of colour in the center. It could be a treat though. Gwen is lovely, Peter B. Parker is nice but I don't really care about him. Miles and family should be the focus.
Devil May Cry: Hello, incest central! Dante/Vergil fic please. Getting (back?) together and after hell fics or just aus of DMC5 would make me so happy. Dante/V is also a good trope. Nero can come with them in any combo. Trish/Lady fic if you find a good one would be awesome too. Any Gen about demons having to do normal human chores
The Magnus Archives: John/Martin, but I am down for most fucked up pairings here as well. Basira/Daisy fic. On the gen side, I would love creepy lore or just a full case. Someone getting taken over is amazing too. Basically any good plotty fic you can find, please.
Godzilla: I watched King of Monsters and fell in love with the Ghidorah there. Just anything about the three heads, preferably with no humans hurt and/or pets for san-chan. Monster ships are lovely, though idk if I want full on sex here. I guess if there are no human gijinkas? I like Ghidorah(San/Kevin specifically)/Rodan, Ghidorah(any or all heads)/Godzilla and Godzilla/Mothra.

Anything relating to Hugo, Damien or Robert! Damien is my favourite of them all. Any Dad + Children stuff. Robert spinning tall tales while also angsting is great. Also: MARY the MVP. Anything for Mary being happy.
Meh:
Roseph: When in character it doesn't really get me. If there's demon fucking, I might be slightly interested though.
Dadsona/Anyone: Not really for me.
Monster Prom: This game was wildly underrated tbh. Gen pieces or character focus would be great, but also ship stuff. Some pairs I would love especially:
Vera/Amira: Vera is my fav of the main six and I love Amira too. Her design is hot as hell, hehe.
Liam/Damien: I love the dynamic! Damien is so fun and Liam aims to have zero fun. It's wonderful.
For the secret romance options, I love the Coven, Z'Gord and Aaravi, so having them with anyone sounds awesome.
Mob Psycho 100: I have only seen the first season. Anyway Gen stuff with Reigen & Mob as family. Reigen as a responsible adult in general.
Fairy Tales and Legends: Bonus if not from Europe, subverting "traditional" gender roles or both. Love Baba Jaga stuff. If you do anything Japanese, please check for orientalism? If Japan is described as this magical land of everything and oh so special and exotic, skip it.
Elric of Melnibone: Elric/Arioch. Elric/Moonglum. Elric angsting around.
Otherland: I mean, anything about the setting, but also Renie Sulaweyo is the BEST. Sam/Orlando with trans Sam. Renie/Christine.
Alien: Ellen Ripley kicking ass. I also love anything Alien: Isolation with Amanda kicking ass! Xenomorph cuddling or fucking someone nicely, idc how ooc. Ok, I care, but am willing to suspend a lot. No Prometheus/Alien Convenant content. Yautja are fine!
