A small DJD fest was going on this week and this fic was produced for it. A gen story about Tarn and Deathsaurus deciding to make their troops bond via mutual competition. As fun as the DJD gets and adorable.

This fic is delightfully id porn. OFC is a nice-ish science intern with shitty colleagues and has to watch Xenomorphs for behavior. She and the four she watches seem to actually get along with a glass wall between. When the Xenomorphs break out, she gets fucked, possibly a bit mindcontrolled and welcomed into the hive. If you haven’t fantasized about getting adopted and maybe fucked by a swarm of Xenomorphs, you are probably not a monsterfucker. There are some minor word errors in the fic, but who is this going to stop reading? Especially when the plot is at least somewhat there between porn scenes.

Nickel centric fic that focuses on the dissonance of her job as a medic and travelling with the DJD. She finds a list target on her own while the others are occupied and it cues doubts. Great spotlight on Nickel and her own morality.

Another Pod_Together collab! This au has Foggie as a late night radio host that sometimes takes calls about Daredevil. It’s cute and fluffy, even if the plot doesn’t present any surprises. The execution sticks the landing however.

I don’t even know this fandom, but it’s an au where Jedi are huge organic creatures with psychic powers and a biological laser sword. The writing and reading really work together to make the awe palpable. If you enjoy wondering at majestic things bigger than humans and psychic bonds to them, this is worth checking out.

I love what this fic does, besides the Bunny!Cyclonus porn. Megatron et al. don’t know where Cyclonus came from, but he has maybe some obedience/slave coding. Cyclonus is happy to wait, because he is from the future and his master is Galvatron aka future Megatron. Megatron is fine with fucking him but uncomfortable with the submissiveness - at least intellectually. Because it scratches his kinks like woah. A wonderful paradoxon - is Cyclonus willing or was he made that way? Megatron tells himself he would never do something like this and yet as readers it is hard to say. Also, the porn is good.

The DJD catch Optimus and are pondering what to do with him. Tarn gets dibs. Ideal for readers who like dark fiction, possessiveness and some teasing of possible torture.

Some post-LL 25 fic where Megatron helps out in the medbay and Ratchet is reluctantly easing up on the territorialism. Topped with Megatron fixing Ratchet, because doctors are the worst patients.

Outsider Pov on Persephone during the Endless Winter by a human! Meditative and questioning just how humans managed which flows into questions of responsibility, familial abuse and doing the right thing even when it is to your own detriment.

Lesson Plan and Metacognition by manic_intent. Pokemon Sword & Shield, Kabu/Raihan, Rated E, No Warnings Apply, Background Character Death, ~52k.
So. First of all, KibKab is a great pairing even though it’s niche. Case in point. Lesson Plan is about Raihan challenging Kabu to fight him with his best team while also trying to woo him. Metacognition is… both of them in Hoenn, trying to get comfortable in their relationship while the fic weaves together elements from Pokemon Go, Detective Pikachu and ORAS. Honestly amazing and takes it to a higher level. Kabu in canon is near to me because of his narrative of failure and reconstitution of self in the end. It’s an arc I want to have. Manic_intent doubles down on this by giving him a bit darker past. As Kabu strives to atone, the fic looks at what that means, how much punishment is fair and corruption through power. These struggles also echo in the personal, where Kabu isn’t sure if he is good enough for Raihan long term.

Short fic for a great concept, namely… humans learning Cybertronian dialects meet Decepticons. Hilarious with a bit of a point to make about hate for organics.

Helex cooking while reflecting on functionism. Gets a bit macabre because DJD, but happy for them.

[Podfic] I’ll explain everything to the geese written by napricot, read by quietnight. MCU, Bucky Barnes/Sam Wilson, Rated E, No Warnings Apply, ~5h 10 min.
Written before the tv series started last year, with some au elements because fuck Endgame, Sam and Bucky are working together. All is well, except Bucky is extremely competent at everything, so Sam just… happens to lie and claims to be able to talk to birds. Weird, but ok, at least until he actually gains the power. I enjoyed this Sam a lot because his high competive spirit and vulnerability came through. Remember how he was introduced, trying to race a super soldier after being lapped twice? That’s this Sam! He is never mean to Bucky, but I think most of people can understand him being a bit incredulous at how much knowledge Hydra stuffed into him. That naturally multiplies with his own feeling of having to perform to a higher standard. I like that he is allowed to be flawed at times while never being unlikable. The whole bird situation is wonderful, btw. The birds are giving mating advice while being the most New York they can be. Amazing performance by quietnight all around. And at the end, there is a special guest: Sam the pigeon! :D

In which Skywarp is chronically sleep deprived because Megatron doesn’t give Starscream enough orgasms. He goes on to teach. Overall the sex is hot and sensual, focusing on patience, with some comedic elements because Skywarp teaching anything is not the ideal situation.

Spoon just manages to thread the needle of writing both Megatron and Starscream as not nice people with big egos while also being somehow head over heels for each other underneath all the bluster. Amazing. Starscream has to take Megatron with vertigo to his room for which he uses an improvised leash. Both of them make discoveries and smut follows. Again, I don’t know how they balance it but it’s tender and icey at the same time. Starscream with a leash is a menance, yet he gives some leeway to Megatron who obeys because he wants to. Sizzling.

Perfect Stranger by EatYourSparkOut. IDW, Krok/Soundwave, Rated E, No Warnings Apply, ~15k.
As the Scavengers visit the sanctuary station, Soundwave takes interest in Krok for his abilities as a leader. This is a pairing that sounds strange but once you read it, it makes perfect sense. IDW Soundwave fits the category of competent but submissive and Krok is canonically a decent leader of his team. He cares and is decisive. Soundwave is socially awkward as he tries to date and it’s adorable. The interface is plug’n’play with great spins on the theme, making use of Cybertronians having different capacities of output, which is excellent world building.

More from a verse where Transformers can be figuratively (frame) and literally trans. This round, we have Megatron saying yes to help Rodimus pick out great tits on accident or: Megatron is unknowingly a trans rolemodel, despite repressing just as much as he can. But he is supportive and kind! :D Heartwarming overall with some heartbreak towards Megatron and not acknowledging his needs.
