I was busy with real life as my family celebrates easter and I was compelled to attend this year. This time, there are some funky science stories and a lot of dead doves or non-con.

Megatron is depressed and Starscream helps with some light murdering attempts and comfort. Just a nice mood if one is feeling bad.

i knew you’d see reason by MlleMusketeer. IDW, Trepan/Megatron, Rated E, Warnings for Graphic Depictions of Violence, Rape/Non-Con, Character Death, Sexual Abuse, Medical Torture, Torture, Eye Trauma, Dead Dove, ~2k.
Mlle at it again, this time serving up Trepan using his position to rape Megatron. Great angst, great suffering and as a treat a follow-up of Megatron dealing with Trepan later which is violent yet cathartic. By now all of Mlle’s fic is an instant rec, don’t wait for me if fucked up stuff is to your taste.

Straight up described as a horror story about a medical professional “curing” the stand-in of autism in Prowl. Really disturbing, really dark and also evoking the true horror of that.

Spike Seeks Valve by LadySibilance. G1, Spike & Skywarp, Skywarp/Thundercracker, Rated T, No Warnings Apply, ~5k.
G1 naming is funk, but none more so than “Spike”, since fandom picked that term to mean something very different. Now a whole fic about the humour inherent in that. Spike gets kidnapped to the Nemesis half-way through. Where this fic truly shines is him interacting nicely with some of the Cons, mostly Skywarp and Thundercracer, showing them in a new light to him. It’s funny with touching moments underneath.

Delicious angst, Patroclus ends up drinking enough of Lethe to forget his past. Achilles doesn’t take it well, really, even though he is allowed to see him. Sksninja’s portrayal is calm, touching and full of emotions, perfect for the fic and the mood.

If you like xeno or teratophilia, this is a rec for you. Sisi_rambles reads it amazingly without stumbling and keeps up the tension of the lewd scene, which is all about horizontal gene transfer. Amazing.

Off-Shift by Kemmasadi. TFP, Orion/Megatron, Ratchet/Optimus, Rated E, Chose Not To Warn, Non-Con, ~18k.
Set after the Orion Pax arc, the gift that keeps on giving. When Ratchet is imprisoned, instead of torture Megatron shows him some of his home movies from Orion’s stay. Ratchet is incredibly angry and very turned on, much to his chagrin really. I liked the exploration of Ratchet’s state of mind, how protective and loving he was towards Optimus and how fucked up this is. And there is a wonderful resolution, thankfully.

Immediately catapulted to the rang of best fic of the week for me, not even going to lie. The fic focuses on Jetfire befriending mycologists, which are Up There in the wildest STEM academians, getting in trouble for it and Starscream getting into the whole mess. The author clearly knows some mushroom facts at least and that enthusiasm shows. Naturally with such a niche subject it’s also hilarious. Recommended to everyone who likes science, really.

Labyrinth by Luxuriant. Hades 2018, Asterius/Theseus, Rated E, No Warnings Apply, ~9.5k.
Asterius becomes aware of the option of romance and asks for advice, mostly because it’s new to him and Theseus is… *gestures* like that. The author sticks to Theseus being warriormale in spirit, making things hilarious and awkward, but Asterius does get his man in the end.

Hot Venom by Helia. IDW, Prowl/Tarantulas, Rated E, Warnings for Rape/Non-Con, Aphrodisiacs, Inflation, ~2k.
Best described as yandere!Tarantulas who both hates and loves Prowl just enjoying himself as Prowl has a bad time but is forcibly aroused. Damn, this fic is hot.

Prisms and Sunlight by fascinationex. IDW, Brainstorm & Perceptor, Rated G, No Warnings Apply, ~8k.
Mermaid AU! With known mermaids, but they are all tropical, so when Perceptor encounters one in the arctic it’s notable. Brainstorm is delightful and of course a mermaid of science, even as he rescues Perceptor from hypothermia. I really hope this will get continued.

To Feed an Army by prisonmechanic. TFP, MegOP, Rated E, Chose Not To Warn, ~5k.
Delightful fic of kinky roleplay featuring milking and breeding Optimus in a decepticons won scenario. Hot and has cute negotation scenes!

The Doctor Is In by Spoon888. G1, Ratchet-centric, Starscream/Megatron, Rated M, Chose Not To Warn, ~133k.
Long time story in progress being finished and it does not disappoint. Ratchet gets kidnapped as a medic for the decepticons and stays a bit voluntarily because the conditions are bad on their side. Hijinx ensues, religious fanatics make an appearance, Ratchet makes friends, Starscream and Megatron are a messy couple, rescue attempts are made… Always funny, sometimes tragic and deeply profound, it made me feel a broad spectrum of emotion.

HMMM - Or, the AU where everything is the same except every time Geralt says "hmmm", it's the Wilhelm Scream. by Chantress and LenaLawlipop. Witcher, multiple pairings, Rated M, No Warnings Apply, ~8 min.
Exactly what the title says. Podficcers are comic geniuses and I will not be taking any comments. Also has amazing cover art for this podfic crime.

The King of Gotham: An Evening With Bruce Wayne by hkafterdark. DCU, Gen, Rated G, No Archive Warnings Apply, ~4.5k
Love all of these tropes - fake media, identity porn and injokes with Bruce and Clark, who is interviewing him, and a great look at the character Bruce, because his out of super hero actions are just as crucial to the character.

Dae made excellent smart horror here. On one side is Elias, smugly using and abusing his power over his employees even without supernatural means, while on the other is Melanie clinging to her hate so she does not fall into fear but also relying on Elias’ abuse to keep hating. Psychologically tense and full of violation without being inherently sexual. The use of body dysphoria is great too!
