The rescue team had found Amelie's body, but what they were bringing in was the thing watching from behind her eyes, waiting for the opportunity to strike. Was there still something left of Amelie, talking to her husband and crying into the shoulder of security director Amari when he had gone back into the bowels of the base, not suspecting that she was carrying doom for all within her, or was the new conciousness doing it, mimicing the routines that had survived the reconditioning?
Even later the bundle of new conditioning and trauma that eventually became Widowmaker couldn't have said, but for now she was biding her time on the mission where she would gain her new name.
Untitled Goose Game + any, any, the goose is loose
All sorts of concerning reports from a small village upon the northern hill had reached Ratterlin, so Sabriel was slowly wading through the fourth precinct of Death as she investigated, when she heard HONK!. She blinked and looked down at the seemingly healthy goose paddling against the current of the waters.
Then everything happened: As she knelt down to investigate the goose closer, it darted forward wings flapping and Sabriel flinched her arms in front of her face in protection - meanwhile, the goose ran away back to the third precinct, inexplicably carrying in its beak... Oh no, was that the tinkling of Belgaer, was all Sabriel could think and started sprinting after the goose.

The first time it happened, Link forgot he was still wearing the moblin mask and as a result almost split the red moblin on instinct - yet despite his drawn sword, the moblin calmly reached down and picked him up, all of these actions so non-threatening Link couldn't bring himself to strike first as the moblin brought him back to the campsite of his horde.
At the fire each member gave him the best morsels of their own portion and kept trying to groom him with their huge fingers. As Link lay down to sleep in the pile of normally vicious monsters feeling loved, he felt like he finally understood why he had been warned away from ever engaging a mother moblin trying to protect her litter.
any, any, writing labels on every object
Every single thing in Lab B had a sticky note on it, all reading the same "Not A Mimic!" and Morgan couldn't be happier to finally be in a safe, Typhon free space. They locked the door behind themself and relaxed for the first time since they had broken out of the testing cycle, taking just a few breaths. Time to check the computer for any useful information - except, there right on top of the desk was a coffee cup with two post-its!
