...Is half a day late, sadly. I know, I know, I should be more disciplined. I am not sure anyone has found these yet, is the thing too. But we go ever onwards! Ah, what can I say about this fic that the tags don’t tell you? It’s the office romance/excessive bureaucracy flirting of Ultra Magnus with Soundwave, while the former has to shove an enraged Jazz that is out for energon with his knives into a closet, repeatedly. Underneath this perfect crack veneer is heavy hitting emotion. The Autobots have surrendered, Prowl and Optimus are unconcious and Ratchet needs to disconnect the Matrix from Optimus. Ultra Magnus is beautifully repressing all his feelings while being the bot in charge and not feeling equipped to make decisions. It’s truly harrowing and you will get some laughs whenever Jazz has to be shoved into the closet, again.

Don’t Tell the Groom by Spoon888. G1, Megatron/Starscream, Rated T, Chose Not To Warn, ~7.5k.

At this point I think I can trust Spoon to solidly churn out comical MegaStar that is on point every other day. This time Starscream conjunxes Megatron via obscure Vos laws, so he doesn’t have to bother with enforcing his ascendency when he falls. It’s amazing, of course. This time, we get Starscream in adorable nerd lab clothing, including big googles. Delightful.

Spec Ops Mission 98: Jazz’s Interrogation at Soundwave’s Pedes by GoblinCatKC. G1, Jazz/Prowl/Soundwave, Various Pairings, Rated T, No Warnings Apply, ~196k.

I have been following this gargantuan beast as it updated and even though I only came in when half of it was done already, I feel the relief of finally being able to rec it. It’s an epic tale that’s also a love letter to fandom and fans behaving badly. To put it plainly, I am always a sucker for fanfic getting meta and having the characters be involved in any sort of fandom - in this case it’s unsanctioned RPF. It’s funny until the topics include crossfaction smut, after which everything goes off the rails. Jazz journeys from uninvolved to amused to offended to intrigued. Then things take another turn as decepticons start defecting through the power of stories and love, culminating in Optimus the very steadfast commenter versus Megatron, UwU anti. It is ridiculous, cracky, self-indulgent and utterly lovely. Almost 200k means many, many things happen, of course, but I at least was content to keep going just to see the next snippet of fake fic. If there is one thing I wish this had it’s a Megatron redemption, because I love the big old grump. Alas, someone needs to be the villain, sadly. If you are able to handle it, however, this fic should give you plenty of material to enjoy.

Energon on Your Lips by anonymous. TF Shattered Glass, Jazz/Prowl, Rated T, No Archive Warnings Apply, ~1k.

This fic delivers everything condensed down to the point. SG Jazz and Prowl are co-dependent to an unhealthy degree, Jazz is doing assassinations and finds his calling in Prowl. At one point, both of them are on the brink of chosing to become better people - but it is over in a blink. It is, after all, a Shattered Glass story.

Impostor Syndrome by Slynx. Overwatch, Gabriel Reyes/Jack Morrison, Rated E, Chose Not To Warn, Among Us Fusion, ~5k.

Ah yes, it had to be done by someone and Slynx was brave enough to take the first step. An Among Us R76 fic. Among Us has the set up I love for couples aka enemies to lovers and you can conveniently shoehorn every cast into that setting. We follow an unnamed impostor who is still familar and see them struggle to survive. A thrilling romance between Blue and Black blooms and intermixed are hilarious scenes of serious crew meeting debating who to kill while using the exact language you find in a random Among Us chat. It’s funny as fuck. And of course, there is alien sex and oviposition. What else could one need?

This set-up is both in character and flaming hot. Minimus has a praise kink but does not receive praise easily. You can see where this is going. Gah, I adore Minimegs and their intertwining of bureaucracy competence with deep respect, adoration and smut is just the best. Perfection.
